Who We Are

Nerd Storm Production is a small independent Software Development company based out of New York State. Primarily we focus on game development, however are expanding into Smartphone Application development. We are hobbyists who enjoy what we do and have fun doing it. We create, we develop, we enjoy, we have fun. Our first game developed was Dawn's Rising and it was a free downloadable 10 minute tower crawl that was so simple and so fun. Many people enjoyed it and the response was far better than we had anticipated. We then set out to create a series and currently have the sequel in development, Midnight Rising. The game we create are that of the old retro style gaming, back in the Legend of Zelda days, or the good old Gameboy Color generation. There are plenty of companies making the new "latest and greatest" games. But we like to focus development on the retro style games.

Our slogan is "Bringing Imagination into Creation." That is the beauty of software development. There is virtually no limits to what you can do. Your only limitation is the limits of the code you are using. We chose to pursue more of the old "retro" style theme for our games for a very simple reason. It is what we where raised on. Our generation was the generation of Zelda: Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Pokemon Red or Blue, and so many old classics. Games are evolving as time goes on but it is still nice to grasp onto the past and bring it to the future.

We are hobby programmers. We develop software because it is fun. We are not required to do so. Nerd Storm Production is not looking to be the next Triple A studio. Not looking to create the "next" Skyrim. We are creating what we love and what we enjoy. We hope that you will enjoy what we make as well. We put 100% effort into our development and that is a promise.

Our software goes through many tests before ever being "released". We as a company will not put poor quality work into the market. We will only provide the best that we can provide. Game/Software Development is a difficult field and it is a very easy field for mistakes to appear in. We truly hope you enjoy what we have to offer. Please do offer us feedback and criticism. We are not closed. We are aware that developing something good often requires the feedback and suggestions from a community. We are not foolish enough to think we know everything.
